Well First Off The container Came Super Fast, So Thats A Plus. But...The Top: The Main Part Of The Dresser Was Damaged With A Huge Dent And Chipped "Wood". Plan It Wasnt Worth Sending Back And Waiting For A transfer So I Guess I Can Live With It. I Just Colored It In With The marker They Sent. Very Wobbly And Not Sturdy At All. Still Think I Paid Too Much Even If It Was "On Sale". Dont Recommend...

This item is a piece of crap! Received the item damaged and I am still fighting Amazon for a replacement and it has been approx. 1 month now. Much more difficult to put together than IkeA furniture. Material is crappy. Drawers slide horrible. farranging item is a piece of s..t! Will never buy someone else piece of this furniture. Will stick with purchasing from Ikea. My son has the damaged item up at school and we are stillll waiting for replacement item. We will then have to put that together, bring up to him which is 7 hours away and then lug the damaged item back home to return. Having to return this item to Amazon is a waste of time and money. It should just be thrown in the dumpster!!!

Nice wood but very poor assembly tools : Stork Craft Beatrice 4 Drawer Chest, Cherry
I know I wasn't buying Ethan Allan, the price was right and I got about what I expected. The box arrived very promptly, and although it was pretty banged up and even punctured in one area (thanks Ups), the contents were intact.
This is not a solid wood product; most of the facing pieces are solid pine with the standard stain, but the rest is particle board with either a very thin veneer or woud toned contact paper. Having said that, it still looks pretty nice, the staining is clean and shows even coverage.
Upon arrival I unpacked the contents to ensure completeness and intactness. The assembly was pretty painless (a little patience and caution when using the wood screws will go a long way toward successful assembly, remember it is mostly particle board). It took me about 2 hours to assemble the goods using a screw driver as the only tool. This included minor setbacks like forgetting to setup one of the cross braces and piloting a couple of holes that the maker failed to pre-drill.
There are a couple of negatives to inventory for the loss of one star in the rating, 1) the above mentioned missing holes, 2) three of the drawer knobs were drilled too large and do not stay on the screws provided (I'll get a little creative and fix that this weekend, 3) do not expect to get any extra parts, if you are missing or lose even one screw you will need to wait for replacement or buy it yourself.
Overall I am happy with the goods and feel that I got what I paid for or maybe a touch more. P-)
[Quick little update: I got creative with the drawer knobs by splitting a wooden match longways, cut the distance to fit the hole and was able to get a nice firm attachment to the provided screws.]

You get what you pay for. It looks fine but it's a hassle to put together and it can't hold too much stuff...good for baby clothes though.
